For as long as I could remember I’ve enjoyed making things pretty.
Be it rolling everything I could possibly roll in glitter, or gluing rhinestones to everything else, I’ve always been fascinated by beautiful things – and the process of making things beautiful.
When I was about 5 I got into my mum’s makeup bag and was fascinated by how lipstick and a little mascara could change the entire look of her face – she was already beautiful – but somehow – it made her beauty shine out from within as well.
As I grew older, I began to look more like my mother – but unfortunately that beauty I saw in her – I didn’t see in myself. I played with makeup all my life – I did the thick black liner in my teen years, experimented with winged liner when I got brave enough. I’ve tried a million looks – and here’s the best beauty secret money can’t buy: you will only be truly beautiful when you begin to love yourself.
So, now I run my own hair, makeup service – which ironically is not what I do it for.
Sure its still fun to play with victory rolls, red lips and lashes – but what I REALLY love – is when a client looks at herself in the mirror and remembers how beautiful she is on the INSIDE.
And that, my friends, is how I make things pretty.
